Obituary

Dolores A. Kollot, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed on November 29, 2019. She was born in Secretary, Maryland on February 24, 1936. Dolores spent most of her life in Maryland and Delaware before moving down to sunny Florida to enjoy the rest of her life.

Dolores was a very kind-hearted, positive woman who always put others before herself. She was the middle child of eleven, and she was a caregiver to each. She also left her career in the customer service industry early to take care of her grandchildren full time.

She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, painting, bible study, taking walks, and eating endless amounts of Maryland Blue Crabs.

Dolores will be missed dearly by her daughter Karen A. Aebersold; her granddaughter Julie A. Aebersold; her siblings Marge Dicamilli, Bernice Simmons, Kay Willey (spouse Tom), Ken Moxey (spouse Diana), Debby Moxey; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends. But there is a celebration in Heaven now that she has gone home.

At this time the family requests prayers.

Going to miss you, Grandma. I think my favorite memory with you is picking crabs for hours every summer. Going to miss your laugh and big hug but most importantly, your smile that welcomed me every time I came over to say hello. We lost a special woman down here on earth but her strength will forever live on with all of us.

Grandma was my favorite person. She gave everything she had to raising Branden and I alongside my mom. She helped shape me into who I am and I will always be grateful to have shared my life with her. Grandma had a strong love for life and for everyone around her. I always admired her strength and spirit. Through my travels she was always the hardest person to say goodbye to. We love you Grandma. The house is decorated for Christmas just how you like it.
