Patricia Linden Coppersmith (Patti), a 40 year resident of Venice, passed away at her home on January 16, 2021. She lost her battle with lung cancer and parosmia.
She was born on September 27, 1946 in Oceanside Long Island, NY. Patti worked in local banking for 30 years, holding positions from teller to branch manager.
Patti is survived by husband James Coppersmith; sons James Ruggiero (of Port Orange, FL) and Paul Ruggiero (of Dade City, FL); daughter-in-law: Susan Ruggiero and Alycn Opperman; grandchilden: Chistopher Coppersmith (of Venice, FL) and Jessica Ruggiero (of Port Orange, FL); also, a twin sister Priscilla D’Agostino (of Pembroke Pines, FL) and sister Sharon Mays (of Las Vegas, NV); also, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Thomas Coppersmith; and parents: Holger and Gladyce Linden. Also, her aunt: Ruth Tatum.
Burial services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 10am at Venice Memorial Gardens. The family is planning a short, socially distant, graveside service. In lieu of flowers, Patti wished for donations to go to Tidewell Hospice.
