Gucodoline L. Seymour also known as Gwen or Nene, 99, died on April 3, 2021 in Queens, NY. She was born March 7, 1922 in Ciego, Cuba to the parents of Uriah and Merdina Palmer. She spent her working career as a beautician and a Certified Nursing Assistant. Gwen enjoyed gardening and raking the leaves. She loved going on vacation and especially loved going on cruises. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Alma Shirley and Edna Seymour; one son, Everton Seymour; one grandson, Wayne Shirley; one granddaughter, Patricia Givens; granddaughter-in-law, Raenell Shirley; five great-grandsons, Demetrius Givens Jr., Devon Givens, Shemar Givens, DiAmico Givens, William Booth; two great-daughters, Denise Givens and Angel Givens; one great-great granddaughter, Kamille Givens; and one great-great grandson, Kyrie Givens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aston Seymour; one daughter, Beryl Seymour; son-in-law, Dorrel Shirley; and niece, Shirley Seymour.

A memorial service will be held on May 8, 2021 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
