James Lee Pate, Jr. died in Sarasota, FL on April 14th, he was 63 years old.

Born on May 8, 1942 in Louisville, KY. He resided in Elizabethtown, KY and traveled often to Venice, FL since he was a child. A graduate of Purdue University and University of Kentucky Law School; he was a general law attorney in private practice for 34 years. He served as a volunteer Director for the American Heart Association in Elizabethtown, coached little league and loved to golf and fish. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Lions Club and was an eagle scout. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown.

He is survived by his wife Georgiana; daughter Krista Lee Martin of Englewood, FL; two sons, James Lee Pate III of Fletcher, NC and Daniel Lee Pate of Central City, KY; sister Ann Stanchina of Williamstown, KY; four grandsons, Taylor and John Austin Martin both of Englewood, FL, Zachary and Nicholas Pate both of Fletcher, NC
