James L Robinson, 63, of Nokomis, FL passed away on March 4, 2021.
Born on October 14, 1957 to James and Mildred Robinson in Joliet, IL. In 1977, James went on to marry his high school sweetheart Denise. James had a fulfilling career as a Semi Truck Driver, driving across the states. He was a proud member of the Kankakee Masonic Lodge #389 for 10 years. Living in Wilmington, he became an active member of the Joliet Chapter of the Harley Motorcycle Club.
Later, James and Denise relocated to Nokomis, FL in 2015. Once settled they became proud members of the Frist Baptist Church of Nokomis. James greatest passion was his family, over years he gained and wore the proud name Papa, he was always there whenever they needed him. If he was not with family, you could always find him participating in his favorite hobbies fishing or camping.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Denise Robinson, and son James M Robinson of Nokomis. Papa also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren James Marshall Robinson Jr and Zoe Rene Robinson of Nokomis. He is also survived by his sister Mary Loaiza of Missouri; Sister-in-laws: Pamela Dykes of Arkansas, Donna Sayner of Arkansas, Cherly Billet of Florida; and Brother-in-laws: Edwin Jenkins of Arkansas, and Louie Loaiza of Missouri .He is also survived by a vast number of nieces and nephews; Kenny Dykes family of 13 of Arkansas, Keith Dykes family of 9 of Arkansas, Melinda Brattien family of 4 of California, Kimmie Jenkins family of 6 of Illinois, Brian Jenkins family of 4 of Illinois, Jason Jenkins family of 3 of Illinois, Jamie Roman family of 9 of Illinois, Phil Wraggs of Illinois; and Brittany Homod family of 3 of Arkansas , Kevin Jenkins family of 6 of Arkansas, Michael Jenkins of Nevada, Miranda Jenkins family of 2 of Iowa, Becky Shelby family of 2 of Illinois, David Billett family of 4 of Nevada, Nick Talerico of Illinois, Shawnn Talerico of Arkansas, Tanya Johnson family of 7 of Colorado, and Jason Woods family of 4 of Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Reynolds, father James Robinson, his maternal grandparents James and Jessie Reynolds and paternal grandparents James and Floella Robinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in James’s honor in June of 2021 at the Frist Baptist Church of Nokomis. Date and time will be announced on Farley Funeral Homes website once determined. In lieu of flowers please consider a loving offering to assist the family during these difficult times.
