Michael Rene Szafranski of Venice, FL formerly of Buffalo, NY, went home to be with his Heavenly Father. He is survived by his beloved wife Linda, son Timothy, daughter Amy, grandson Landyn, granddaughter Stella, and brother Raymond. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoyed music, nature, photography and Buffalo pizza. His greatest passion however was knowing Christ. His zest for life was contagious and we are all blessed to have known and loved him.

Linda and family - While I did not know Michael personally, he was a blessing to me. Linda has shared stories with me about his faith journey and dedication to knowing the Lord and, by God's grace, his testimony deepened my personal relationship with Christ. I look forward to learning more about him.

We are going to miss Mike and all of the great times we had with him and his family when they lived in Buffalo. Over the years, we did not stay as close as we should have....and we will miss how that man could light up a room. Miss you buddy....and your camera!!! Rest in Peace

Mike was an overcomer! Having faced various trials, he remained engaged, upbeat, and focused on Christ. He was an overcomer because Christ has overcome the world. Jesus said, as John 16:33 records, “....In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” We will miss Mike, and our thoughts and prayers are with you, Linda, Tim and Amy. Love, Delynn and Diana
