Zacheriah (Zack) Berrebie, was born May 26th, 1992 in Miami, Florida to Deirdre Stone and Abdellah Berrebie. At 3 months old, following Hurricane Andrew they moved back to Ireland where Zack spent the first two years of his life before returning to America with mom. Ireland always remained in his heart and he cherished visits over the years with much loved family members.
Zack was a loving, happy child who brought joy into the lives of all that knew and loved him. For several years, Zack and his mom were in “us against the world” mode. He was later overjoyed at the arrival of his little sister Kendra, and later his little brother Kaiden. Zack shared a beautiful bond with his siblings who see the world in their big brother.
Zack cherished his family immensely and they all loved spending quality time and adventuring together throughout their childhood and adulthood. During his high school years, he was known as “candyman” due to his entrepreneurial skills. During Hurricane Irma, Zack, Mom, little brother, cat, all piled in the car, and hit the road. They traveled 13 states in 8 days and made some wonderful memories. Zack and Kendra explored Seattle and Amsterdam, turning off their phones to get lost in the city. On his 21st birthday, Zack checked an item off his adventure list by skydiving with a dear friend. Zack was gifted in many ways and as chef Z created many wonders in the kitchen, using farmer Z’s bounty.
When he met Nathaly and then became a dad to his precious little Cameron Zacheriah he was overjoyed. Being a dad was his greatest joy and he worked hard to ensure Cameron’s well-being. Cameron and Zack could often be found planting and picking herbs and flowers in the garden, building tree houses, chasing chickens, frolicking in beach waves, or riding rides at Busch Gardens. They loved to explore nature together.
Zack was constantly in awe of the works of our creator. Zack was a unique and incredibly loving, compassionate human being with a beautiful spirit, as well as a heart for others. He could often be seen riding his bike around Sarasota, sharing bunches of bananas with the homeless. He always tried to encourage and uplift anyone he saw struggling.
Zack was a creative soul. During the pandemic, he built an outdoor gym made from wood. He loved poetry, writing, painting, playing guitar and the harmonica, swimming, health and fitness, music, roller coasters, and all things nature.
Zack is survived by his truly heartbroken family including his mom, Deirdre Berrebie and dad Abdellah Berrebie; adored son, Cameron; beloved siblings, Kendra and Kaiden; maternal grandma, Gertie Stone in Ireland; loving aunts and uncles; Anne (Ireland), William and Jimena (Miami, FL), and Vivienne and Brian (Ireland); cousins, Nicolas, Shane, Adrian, Leonie, Lucas, Summer, Levi, Daphne, Laura, Ross, Michael, and many more around the world; and extended family in Ireland and worldwide; and a wide circle of friends.
He was predeceased by his much loved uncle John; maternal grandfather, John William Stone; and paternal grandparents, Fatma and Boualem Berrebie.
May you forever be at peace, our beloved Zacheriah. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.
